I swear I was going  to spend this podcast talking about podcast pitching. Because that's going to be my main focus for visibility this year. I'll do live events for engagement and enrollment but reaching new audiences must be in place. 

I will share a bit more about who I'm pitching and how very soon. I wanted to address what visibilty actually is within the whole marketing funnel first. 

My focus has mostly been on the farther side of the funnel like sales and engagement but a membership requires a critical mass so I need more people to know I exist. And to remember me when the timing is right.

I took a look at the three ways to stand-out most, best or first and came to the conclusion that the former two are way too hard to achieve. It's great if either comes naturally but a business killer to strive for. Intead we can stand-out by being the first ... in some way. 

That way could be just a slight innovation or early adoption of a new way of communicating or even a unique type of program inside a busy market. It can also be a niche, a position or another differentiator. Doing it in a way that no one else is quite doing. 

If we want to gain traction at a faster rate, this is the easiest and most fun to pursue way. Bring on creativity and take a pass on world dominance and perfectionism.
